Editor's Note

Welcome to the 15th issue of the Teen Dispatch!

April saw it all – a financial crisis, election results, and deforestation. The month started with the Amazon Rainforest hitting a new record of deforestation and Shanghai announcing its first Covid death since lockdown. British prime minister Boris Johnson and his chancellor Rishi Sunak paid a police fine for attending a lockdown-breaching party. Then Macron was re-elected to a second five-year term, and further sanctions against Russia were being discussed by the EU.

What better way to start this issue than by touching upon both India’s diplomacy, while also overviewing Pakistan’s leadership debacle. In an article by Mahee Chandra, the implications of India’s neutral stance in Russia-Ukraine are discussed, while the dismissal of Imran Khan is covered in another.

Anushka Agarwal then goes on to write about a creative display from 1917, that changed the artistic industry forever. Talking about change – sure the beauty standards of today have evolved but we are still made to feel insecure. In a piece by Ananya Makker, beauty is analysed. Finally, in an article by Mrinalini, India’s progress is re-evaluated.

So, take a break from your busy schedule, and make sure to read each of the articles in the Teen Dispatch’s latest issue.

I hope you enjoy it!
