Editor's Note

Welcome to the 13th issue of the Teen Dispatch!

First: Happy New Year – here’s to hoping 2022 will be a better year. Let’s take a moment to acknowledge the past year. Joe Biden became the President of the United States; Spider-man: No Way Home broke the box office. Meghan Markle finally had her first daytime tv interview since dating Harry. Nevada pageant winner became the 1st transgender Miss USA contestant. JLo and Ben Affleck rekindled their relationship. The world got to experience the wrath of Ted Lasso, Succession, and Squid Game. The Farm Laws were repealed, and Mamta Banerjee had a landslide victory in Bengal.

Vaccines finally became admissible for children above 15 in India. So, to keep you aware we have an article debunking anti-vaccine claims, by Aradhya Dhyani. We also have an update – by Inaayat Grewal - on the worsened situation of the Rohingyas with the 2021 coup and the pandemic; and how healthcare in Myanmar is at its worst.

What better way to start the year, than by shedding light on the hypocrisy of the Indian government? Shalini Kothapali has an article on the super spreader Covid events the government of India has encouraged and will encourage in the future. We also have an article on the most anticipated movies of this year by Tahira Dhillon. Finally, to conclude this issue, last year’s hit column ‘The Sex-Ed Chronicles’ elaborates on the science of sexual desire, through kinks and fetishes.

So, take a break from your busy schedule, and make sure to read each of the articles of the Teen Dispatch’s latest issue.

I hope you enjoy it!
