Editor's Note

Welcome to the 8th issue of the Teen Dispatch!

As mentioned last month, we have started a new series called The Sex-Ed Chronicles. In this month’s issue, Teista and Venne tackle ‘Consent’ and feel that it is a topic often neglected. They talk about respecting the boundaries of your partner, being aware of your behaviour and how to practise everyday consent.

We also have an article by Satvik on The Accelerated Refugee Crisis caused by the present pandemic. He dives into the crisis, the factors that caused it and how we as a community can work to end it. Shalini has also written an article on The World’s Oldest Target – Jews. She looks into why they have always been the ones to blame and the historical struggles they have faced, dating back to the birth of Christianity.

In an article on Watching Old Hollywood Movies, Himadrika talks about Noting Hill – an old hit she recently re-watched. So if you have nothing to watch on Netflix, read her article and get pushed into watching (or re-watching) Notting Hill. Finally, we have an article by Tara on the relevance of god, religion and spirituality. She helps us in understanding why people believe in worshipping a higher power and the positive and negative effects of this.

So, take a break from your busy schedule, and make sure to read each of the articles of the Teen Dispatch’s latest issue.

I hope you enjoy it!
