A review on the Netflix series Dark

Is it too intense or worth the watch?

This three season-long German show on Netflix promises to push the boundaries of your mind across several dimensions. Based in the fictional town of Winden, the show narrates the story of four families and how they become intertwined in the games of Time Travel and Parallel Universes. At every step, there is suspense, mystery and thrill, and be warned because the show doesn’t hesitate to become Dark at any time.

The protagonist, Jonas Kahnwald is a pensive teenager, who after his father’s suicidal death goes into self-isolation. The Winden he returns to is troubled by the mystery of his missing classmate and other strange events. Watch as he delves into several explorations through time and space to look for the children and ends up finding a lot more about himself than he would want to.

Dark has characters that you would love, admire and respect, as well as characters that you would hate, despise and loathe. It will raise your spirits, strain your memory, challenge your patience and entertain you all along. Just know that every conversation with a Dark Fan can reveal important plot twists and secrets, so be careful or you will have your suspense ruined. Do not google anything while watching the show, let the Darkness engulf you in its own time.
